CRF50 parts interchangeability

Many parts designed for 50cc pit bikes are compatible with the Honda CRF50, and vice versa. To ensure compatibility, the frame of your motorcycle should closely resemble that of a CRF50.

Cylinder Sizing

Measure the exposed length of the cylinder to determine the cylinder hight.

Engine size

Pit bike engines are fundamentally derived from the Honda 70 series engines. These engines are currently utilized in Honda CRF50 and CRF70 models. The primary motor mounts and the four lower mounting points, known as peg mounts, are consistent across all pit bike engines. These engines are compatible with all Chinese pit bikes and most older or current Honda models equipped with horizontal OHC engines, excluding the KLX110 and DRZ110.

Fork Measurements

To ensure the correct fit when acquiring new forks or components, precise measurements in millimeters (mm) are essential. Follow these steps to obtain the necessary dimensions:

How to Measure a Bearing

Bearings are characterized by three primary dimensions: the inner diameter, the outer diameter, and the width. These measurements are always specified in metric units.

Inspecting Wheel Bearings

To test your wheel bearings put the bike a a stand or secure it , grap the tire here Move it from side to side, worn wheel bearings will allow the wheel to move and can also cause a wobble when riding.

Measuring for an Air Filter

To determine the size, measure the outer diameter (OD) of the filter end of the carburetor. Illustrated here is a typical Pit bike 22mm Mikuni carburetor. The OD of the filter end measures 1.5 inches or 38mm.
